Return Policy
It is our hope that you will be completely satisfied with your purchase. We will give thoughtful consideration to your request for a return, exchange or credit of our products and services. We accept returns on all non-plant products in new condition within 15 days of purchase or shipment date, when accompanied by an original store sales receipt or invoice. Within 15 days, we can refund your purchase via the original method of payment. After 15 days, and if accepted by us we will refund your purchase with a store credit.
Any item purchased on sale or at a discounted price is final sale and therefore non-returnable.
Please see below for exception regarding furniture, containers, artifacts, live plants and cut flowers.
Furniture and Containers
Furniture and containers can be returned within 15 days from the date of purchase or delivery for a full refund on the price of the item. Furniture and containers must be returned in like-new condition with original packaging and materials. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable, and customers are responsible for any return shipping or delivery costs. After 15 days, we will replace any furniture with a manufacturer’s defect for up to one year, and only within the warranty conditions and time provided by the manufacturer. We are unable to offer refunds for furniture and containers that are damaged by weather conditions or customer wear and tear.
Artifacts and vintage items
All our artifacts and vintage items are aged pieces found by us in France. The unique character and weathering of each piece reflects its historical significance. All artifacts and vintage items are sold “As Is”. If an artifact or vintage item does not meet your expectations, it may be returned for a refund within 15 days and in the purchased/delivered condition. Customers are responsible for any return shipping costs.
Cut flowers
We are unable to accept returns on cut flowers. We ask that you take extra care with your cut flowers as they are perishable and subject to variable conditions such as quality of the water, room temperature, light exposure, regular cleaning and cutting of the stems.
Live plants
In store, we can accept return only for tree and shrubs delivered, planted by us and part of a maintenance contract with us. Tree and shrubs returns will be accepted for up to 3 months from the original date of purchase. Every effort will be made to replace the original plant material. For items not in stock or not in season, a substitution will be provided or a store credit will be issued.
Because live plants are subject to variable conditions, we are not able to accept returns, guarantee or refund for annuals, roses, vines, perennials (other than shrubs or trees) or other live plants. We ask that you take extra care with your plants as they are perishable and subject to variable conditions such as weather, transportation, soil quality, watering, light exposure, positioning in your house or garden. Acceptance of our plants at the time of purchase is considered proof of good health and survivability.

Event policy
Rental items
When our contract includes rentals, an itemized list of all Rental Items rented by the clients from Petit Jardin en Ville, with their replacement cost. Rental Items will be inventoried and the replacement cost charged for any missing or damaged Rental Items within 4 days of the event. The Clients will receive a receipt for the replacement charges.
Petit Jardin en Ville usually picks up all the rented items at the end of the event. The venue is also be informed about the items to collect and to secure at the end of the event. All Rental Items are labeled as such whenever possible to discourage guests from removing these rental items. Petit Jardin en Ville is not responsible for ensuring guests do not remove Rental Items from the event venue.
Substitutions
Certain flowers may not be available on the date of the event due to the seasonal nature of the fresh flowers and fluctuations in the international floral market. Every effort will be made to maintain the design, color and look of the designs based on the proposal but occasionally substitutions may need to be made with comparable flowers.
The agreed upon proposal and total cost of the proposal will not change even if substitution flowers result in higher costs for Petit Jardin en Ville. Petit Jardin en Ville reserves the right to make flower and container substitutions as needed due to circumstances beyond their control.
Refund and Cancelation
Cancelations earlier than 90 days proper to the event will be handled on a case by case basis and refund of deposit will depend on the amount of materials already purchased for the event as well as time spent in preparation for the event.
Cancellations made less than 90 days prior to the event will forfeit the initial deposit. The Client shall make request to cancel or move the event date in writing to Petit Jardin en Ville with as much advance notice as possible.
Force Majeure
Any delay in performance where the cause is outside the control of Petit Jardin en Ville cannot result in payment of compensation, nor can it justify cancellation of an order. Petit Jardin en Ville undertakes to make every effort to fulfill its obligation but cannot be held liable, in particular because of total or partial failure to perform its service, or because of a delay in fulfilling its obligations upon the occurrence of a force majeure event such as war, strike, political disturbance, fire, earthquake, flood, epidemic, accident in the facilities, machinery breakdown, suspension or disruption of transport and communications, delay in receiving supplies or any other cause leading to a partial or complete shut-down whether in its own case or that of its suppliers. Should the need arise; Petit Jardin en Ville will keep the Customer informed in a timely manner of any operational difficulties resulting from the circumstances mentioned above.
Liability
Petit Jardin en Ville will only be liable for damages or losses which are the direct consequence of negligence by Petit Jardin en Ville in the performance of its obligations. If, on account of the contractual liability referred to in the preceding sentence and/or for any other reason, Petit Jardin en Ville is liable, Petit Jardin en Ville will only be liable for direct damage or loss of the Customer up to the amount of the price due by the Customer by virtue of the budget above. In no event shall Petit Jardin en Ville and/or persons employed and/or called in by Petit Jardin en Ville for carrying out the assignment be liable to the Customer or any third parties for incidental, consequential or liquidated damages including, but not limited to, loss of profits or revenue, loss of use of products, costs of replacement products or components, or the claims of third parties, even if Petit Jardin en Ville has been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses. This disclaimer shall apply to incidental, consequential or liquidated damages based upon any cause of action whatsoever asserted against Petit Jardin en Ville, including one arising out of principles of contract, any breach of warranty, express or implied, guarantee, products liability, negligence, tort, or any other cause pertaining to performance or non-performance to the quotation or contract issued by Petit Jardin en Ville. The Customer shall hold Petit Jardin en Ville and/or persons employed and/or called in by Petit Jardin en Ville for carrying out the assignment harmless from any such claims.
